Couldn't have had a better experience with Captain Darryl, Adela and Scuba Steve. The weather did not cooperate with us that day but that did not prevent the extremely knowledgeable and humorous Darryl from making the most of the time on the boat and turning the entire day around. We were the first boat to arrive at the reef (despite a little later departure time than the other boats (as advertised)) and had an hour or so as the only boat at the location before others arrived. A few other crowded looking boats came and went from our spot over the course of a few hours of our snorkeling time. Darryl himself provided the most helpful and relatable snorkel instruction (have snorkeled in various places such as Florida Keys, Tahiti and Fiji without such detailed instruction) which made the experience in the water extremely easy and comfortable. After snorkeling and lunch we were able to sail around looking for sea life, and luckily were able to sail alongside a pod of false killer whales and saw a many breaching whales. Also saw many fish, colorful reefs and turtles while in the water, as promised. There were a lot of boats offering similar trips but I would definitely recommend this crew to anyone that visits Maui over any of the other options.
