Departing from Historic Lahaina Harbor, the beautiful Kaanapali beach, and Maalaea harbor, Trilogy is Maui’s oldest family-owned sailing company. With over 45 years in the sailboat business its no wonder that Trilogy sets the standard for service and quality.

A family committed to excellence

Since 1973 the Coon family have been operating a sailing company on Maui. The Trilogy story begins years before in the 1920s. A fishing boat ran by Eldon and Afton Coon left Washington for Alaska. After a shipwreck in 1969, the adult children of Caption Eldon helped their parents build another boat. The family left Seattle and set sail on their world adventure.

Just as many families come to celebrate love on the island of Maui, the Coon family fell in love with Maui. The boys found love on the island as well and continued the family tradition of sailing in Maui with families of their own.
