The first time we went was a buffet style which they have now changed to a plated meal (Covid rule). The food is good but the buffet was so much nicer allowing you to get more of what you liked and less (or none) of what you didn’t care for. We hate waisting food so a bummer seeing items tossed that we didn’t care for.

I saw a portion of another luau at my resort and this was significantly better (although also much more expensive). There were a few times it was hard to hear the narration, so that could be improved.Beware this gets booked months in advance. They were fully booked when I looked, but added my name to my waitlist and got a call a week before they had a spot, so their waitlist does work! Note: I did not receive any confirmation when signing up for the waitlist which was frustrating, but did get an email when the spot opened up.

They didn't cheap out on the drinks either. Before the show starts you can check out some native Hawaiian crafts, watch some musicals demos or get a picture taken. The photographers might be the only negative here as they just splash u with a forward flash without diffusers or umbrellas. The pig is unveiled as one of the staff explain the story behind it. The dance/musical performances were equal on the history, storytelling and quite enjoyable. Finally the night is included with a slow dance with a loved one. My 6 year old loved the whole thing!

Great show! The food was more on the authentic Hawaiian style, very good. They slow roasted a pig and uncovered it as part of the learning experience. The smoky flavor really made this my favorite of the foods. Show was entertaining and included a bit of history throughout.

The food was amazing! There was such a variety to choose from. All the drinks and cocktails were excellent and the servers would bring them to your table once dinner was started. The entertainment before hand and during dinner was all amazing and a great way to learn about Hawaii and its culture. Highly recommended
